ABOUT OUR CHURCH AND ITS PEOPLE
• Located in a rural community approximately 30 miles southeast of Buffalo
relative close proximity to fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing, pro sports
teams, museums, universities (including Christ the King seminary), airport
and hospitals (including Roswell Park Cancer Institute)
• Membership
221 baptized members
163 confirmed members
Average weekly attendance at Sunday services is 73 persons

ABOUT OUR CULTURE AND MINISTRY
• We currently have a structured and traditional format
we are open to adding a contemporary or Saturday evening service
we are very interested in growing the numbers of our congregation and
securing a future for our church
• Stewardship
10% of income/offering goes toward missions

EVANGELISM AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH
• Country Music Nights
• Annual Strawberry Social
• Fundraisers to assist members of the community during their times of need
• Various outreach events raise money for local Food Banks and other community
organizations

WORSHIP AND SUNDAY SCHOOL
• Worship time: Sundays, 8:15am and 1O:45am
• Sunday School: Sundays, 9:30am
Kindergarten through high school as well as an Adult class (we are looking
for a pastor that is willing to teach the class)
Confirmation (taught by a layman)
• Coffee Hour and Fellowship: Occasional Sundays each month, between services

STAFF AND ORGANIZATIONS
• We have a part-time paid church secretary, organist and cleaning person (other
duties within the church are performed by members)

FACTS ABOUT ST NICODEMUS
• The church originated in 1856. The building was constructed in 1928.
• The building has been renovated and expanded, most recently in 1999; no
construction debt remains
• Latest revision to the constitution was this year, 2010
• Our proposed budget for 2010 is $105,242

IMPORTANT EVENTS IN OUR HISTORY
• Resettlement of a Vietnamese refugee family in 1979
• We commemorated our 150th year with a large anniversary event in 2006
